What is Executive Functioning?
Executive functions are a set of mental skills that help you manage everyday tasks and achieve goals. These include planning, organization, time management, working memory, emotional regulation, and flexible thinking.
Many young people with ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, or other neurodevelopmental conditions struggle with executive functioning skills. Our specialized coaching helps individuals develop these critical abilities through personalized strategies and consistent support.

Heather S. Maynard
M.A., M.S. - Executive Functioning Coach
Heather holds a Master of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, and she is a doctoral candidate at UConn. She is a certified superintendent with more than twenty years in education, as an English teacher, curriculum leader, and assistant superintendent of teaching and learning. She has designed the MTSS frameworks and intervention systems schools use to support struggling learners. She knows exactly what school demands of a student's executive functioning, and where those demands quietly break down.
Her coaching rests on one conviction. Trouble starting, planning, or following through is not a motivation problem. It is a skill gap, and skills can be taught. Heather teaches through each student's strengths and helps them build the metacognitive awareness to understand how they learn best, so they can draw on those strengths themselves. Students learn to overcome obstacles by using what they already do well. That builds real confidence and a growth mindset about all they can achieve.

Courtney Hinerman
M.S. Ed. - Executive Functioning Coach
Courtney has a Master's in Educational Leadership with nearly a decade of experience as a Special Education teacher. She has spent her career supporting neurologically diverse children of all ages, knowing firsthand that academic success and independence aren't about working harder but finding a system that works for each individual.
She works directly with students and parents to co-create practical, personalized plans that respect their strengths and real-world challenges, helping every student reach their full potential.
